Título

Entomological Surveillance the major vector to arbovirus transmission in a hyperendemic city.

Introdução

The Aedes gender mosquitoes are responsible to transmit the major’s arbovirus over the word, principally in the tropical and subtropical areas, in Brazil, this species mosquitoes are a severe health public problem. São José do Rio Preto is a northwest city at Sao Paulo state and annually notified a lot of arbovirus cases and present high vector infestation indexes. Despite the start at the dengue vaccination, the vector control is the crucial tools for an actively monitoring the vector infestation, spread at the mosquitoes and virus in different areas, making it possible to identify places require more attention of the healthy authorities

Objetivo (s)

We proposed to realize an entomological survey the major´s mosquitoes SJRP native, so the egg than adults

Material e Métodos

We realized the recruit the 45 residences, than it has a places near plants vases, protected from sun light and raining. These residences are distributed to six neighborhood at the city. The mosquito’s collection started from October 2023, we always installed the traps in the second fortnight each month. To collect the eggs, we used the ovitraps, and to collect the adults we using the BG-Sentinel traps. The BG-Sentinel is installed in each residence in period to 24 hours and after this period, the mosquitoes were taken for the LPV to identify until species. In the moment to retire the BG-Sentinel we install the ovitraps, this model trap stay each residence in period the maximum seven days, after this time the eggs collection are taken the LPV and adequate stored.

Resultados e Conclusão

Results: In the study period, we collected 649 mosquitoes divided in the Aedes and Culex genders. The Solo Sagrado neighborhood presented the higher infestation with 187 mosquitoes collected, followed the Parque Industrial (166), Vila Toninho (110), São Deocleciano (80), and São Francisco - Estoril (79) e Jaguaré João Paulo II (27). The Ae. aegypti was the principal specie collected with a total 283 females and 270 males collected. We also collected 10 Ae. albopictus (8 females/2 males), 81 Culex sp. (38 female/ 43 males). Conclusion: The entomological monitoring is an important tool in the endemic cities because with it is possible to identify the areas with a major infestation and the high risk to dengue or another arbovirus transmission that circle in the area.
